Manning Issues • Preliminary Results from the Manning Selection • good coverage (personnel, dates) of competencies • SC selection close to being finalised • Detailed analysis for identification of gaps and shortages ongoing • TSL selection had to be restricted to 12 candidates due to available number of slots (min. stay 60 days) • Next steps in the manning selection • TFL/(CSU) meetings on the 8th, 11th and 12th of April to finalise • Allocated time for parastic experiments in restart (interaction TFL/CSU/POG)
Restart integration Red: NO parasitic experiments Yellow: monitoring experiment ONLY White: Parasitic experiment with possibility of pulse time. Restart 1 W31 Parasitic Experiments to be filled This phase should try to put in place the conditionning/breakdown diagnostic tools
Impurity Transport • One of main ILW goals: Demonstrate/investigate feasibilty of W divertor operation in baseline and advanced scenarios • Dedicated experiments as well as long term monitoring envisaged • Two extremes could ‘hamper’ investigations: - strong negative impact of central W radiation: change of experiment strategy could be necessary - no measurable influence of W: loss of interest by ‘non experts’, design of dedicated discharges • Supporting investigations on intrinsic impurities by injection of tracers (LBO, gas puffs)
