  3. 20 Universities in Ontario • Undergraduate BA, BAS, BBA, BCom, BDes, BEng, BFA, BSc… • Graduate Masters and PhD • Countless programs of study, various admission requirements, • Some similar deadlines, some not…

  4. Graduate Studies • Applications are program specific, • very competitive, • individual deadlines, • Various criteria (e.g. GMAT, LSAT, B+ average) Typically, applications are on line and apply directly to University

  5. The good news! Undergraduate Central Service Ontario Universities Application Centre OUAC http://www.ouac.on.ca/ You are a ‘105’ applicant

  6. OUAC: Undergraduate Costs $135 (three choices) + $44 for an additional choice… + supplemental fee $40 – $90, depending on University

  7. OUAC:: central coordination • Your information is sent on your behalf to the Universities of your choice • Possible to arrange for official transcripts to go to one place • English language test results

  8. If only interested in one, consider many Universities have their own application if only applying to one place Less expensive, deal directly with University Apply online, send documents directly

  9. Transfer Credit / Advanced Standing • Typically once you are admitted, • Often requires course descriptions, takes time to assess • All Universities have ‘residency requirements’

  10. Financial Assistance • OSAP not all programs eligible, a loan that must be paid back • Bursaries/scholarships do not need to be paid back!
