Presentation must have: Minimum 12 Slides Step-by-step instructions to build dragster Each slide must have: A big title made in Photoshop (use Style palette) Slide numbers, Faded background (different for each slide – cars/racing only) Transitions (slide to slide special effect) Animation Actions (one car and text per slide) A minimum of 2 lines of text per slide (except cover and gallery) Images: Cleanly edited (Must change the original in some way – more creative = more points) Extra points: Multimedia (video, audio, music), 12+ slides

CO2 Dragster Procedure SL1: Cover Slide: Title: CO2 Dragster , Your name, Date, Communication Systems SL2: Table of Contents – list slide title and slide number SL3: *10 Thumbnail drawings – top and side view (must be yours, not mine) SL4: *3 Rough drawings – top and side view (must be yours, not mine) SL5: *1 Final drawing – top and side view (must be yours, not mine) SL6: Dimensions chart (must be yours, not mine) SLs7, 8, 9, 10,11: Production slides (bandsaw, scrollsaw, drillpress, carving, sanding, painting, safety SL12: Gallery Slide – min.of 8 cars - you can use your animated cars (see last slide)

  3. Now that you have a model of your car, make sure you are satisfied with it. If you want to change something now is your chance. Also, check the spec. sheet to make sure your car meets all the specifications. 7

  4. Before cutting out the car, first drill the holes for the axles. Now you may begin to cut out your car.

  5. Before beginning any part of the production, be extremely familiar with the safety rules in the shop. Below is a list of only a few of the rules. 1. Before using any tools or equipment get proper instruction from the teacher on how to operate them. 2. Only use tools and equipment when the teacher is in the room. 3. Do not talk to or distract anyone using tools or equipment. 4. No running or horseplay!!!

  6. Once you have tested your car, you can proceed to the final step. You can now paint your car either with spray paint or with a brush. Take your time and make it look awesome! 13
