SCC Board – scope and members As a member-based organization, Supply Chain Council is governed by an elected board of directors. The board operates to provide strategic direction and set policies to enable Supply Chain Council to advance its service to members via awareness, research, education and training. “The Board of Directors shall have supervision, control and direction of the affairs of the Council, shall determine its policies within the limits of these Bylaws, and shall have discretion in the disbursement of its funds. The Board may adopt such rules and regulations for the conduct of its affairs as are consistent with applicable law and these Bylaws.”

Chapter Governance Scope The primary task of the chapter liaison team is to facilitate: • Chapter-to-Chapter interaction and best practice sharing • Alignment and inspiration of events and member activities • Training and academic interface alignment • Chapter-to-Board interaction • Manage membership demands and questions • Manage resource requests for specific activities • Establish Chapter objectives and KPIs linked to the BOD annual process. • Review progress to achieve objectives. • Provide input/feedback to the BOD from the members and input to the Strategy Committee • Plan and steer regional events (also very important and should be on this overview slide) • Board-to-Chapter interaction • Strategy and budget oversight • Alignment on critical issues for the Council
Chapter Governance Roles • Board liaison – Interacts with Chapter Chairs, and reports progress and resource requests to SCC Board of Directors. • Chapter Chair - oversees and directs the chapter in general. Oversees and directs the chapter in general to achieve the SCC strategy and objectives, in accordance with the SCC policies and by-laws. • Staff Support – Support to Chapter Governance committee. • All positions are loosely defined, allowing individuals to bring their own ideas and experience to the team.
