  4. Trust Strategy • Purpose of a trust: • Fundraising/Donations • Investment • Redistribution • Safety Net • What happened to the old trust? • Ineffective trustee • No benefit to UN Youth • Lack of direction

  5. Trust Strategy • Strategy: • To provide guidance to the trustees • Can be periodically updated • How trust income should be distributed • Strategies for growing the amount in the trust • Trustees

  6. Policy Development Officeholder Expenditure • Purpose: Guidance on general committee expenditure • Policy • Budget to include ‘General Committee Expenditure’

Policy Development Terms and Conditions • Purpose: Terms and conditions to be used when a registered delegate does not attend the event • Policy: • Disclosure included on registration form requiring students to pay the registration fee and attend the event • Requirements on cancellation • If paid registration fee • If haven’t paid registration fee

  8. Policy Development Complaints Policy • Purpose: to provide guidance when there is a complaint about a certain aspect of UN Youth • Policy • How to deal with the complaint • Documentation and reporting requirements • Negotiation techniques • Confidentiality • Fairness • Attitude • Solution
