Overview • Detailed Troop Decon (DTD) involves: • Turn-in, Decon, and Reissue of troop gear • Checking for and deconing troop MOPP gear • Re-issuing of new MOPP gear as required • As a member of the DTD, you will: • Monitor, identify, and handle contaminated items • Ensure the safety of troops being deconned • Re-issue MOPP gear and equipment to troops …all while in full MOPP gear for extended periods

  3. Overview Decon Comes in 3 Levels: Immediate - Skin decon - Operator spray down Operational - Vehicle wash down - MOPP Gear exchange Thorough - Detailed troop and equipment decon (DTD, DED) - Reduce contaminants to a negligible risk

Gear & Equipment Joint Service Lightweight Integrated Suit Technology JSLIST - Good for 24 hours in a contaminated environment - 45 day life after opening the package - Can be laundered up to 6 times if not contaminated - Water resistant, but not waterproof - Old style gloves and boots still used with the JSLIST, will provide 24 hours of protection in a contaminated environment ...You will be required to operate decon stations in full MOPP Gear!
