2. Crop Spatial data - SPAM data • Indian sub-national (National, state and district) data (1999-2006) for ICRISAT mandate crops + some additional crops - shared • Available ESA and WCA country sub-national data (May 2011) • Shape files to match the district level data for India (end of April 2011) • Updated SPAM map – to run spatial crop model (India!) • Coordinating with Ulrich and Susana (IFPRI) to improve the ICRISAT crops data in SPAM
3. Progress made in VCM • Identified the traits for different abiotic stress • Clarified with crop modeler the traits which DSSAT model can able to simulate with existing setup • Prioritized the crops and traits for developing VC
5. IMPACT improvement –Adoption modeling work plan (May –Dec 2011)

5. IMPACT improvement –Adoption modeling work plan (May –Dec 2011)
Implementation • Breeders specific goals • Setting the baseline • Virtual crop simulations in stages • Enhancement – combination of traits; coupling of model with foliar disease model; harnessing DSSAT/APSIM • VCM for groundnut validated with breeders and GF team
