ABOUTROUND TABLE INDIA We are an organization of young achievers driven by our aims and objects of community service, self development, fellowship, and fostering international relations. This unique movement works through “Tables” comprising 20-25 members.Round Table India is an active member of the world wide organization of Round Table International.
About “Let’s Vote” • Lets Vote is a Citizens’ initiative to increase awareness and participation of ‘Educated Indian Citizens’ in the electoral process of our nation • Our Aim is to • Engage and educate: We need a passionate, pragmatic, energetic and thoughtful member base to create development and global sustainability • Reach out: We build awareness among our fellow Professionals of ‘exercising their vote’ and link their action to human development
Vision & Mission • VISION:“Let’s Vote” envisions a responsive, and responsible society exercising their right to vote, thereby electing an accountable team to lead and govern • MISSION:“Let’s Vote” promotes societal development and positive nation building through sensitizing professionals to cast their vote
Chief Activities • Continuous Focus – New Voter Registrations • Achieved during Jan’09 • Coordinated collection and distribution of 60000 voter registration applications among corporate employees and college students • Corporate –worked with AMCHAM, HYSEA, TiE, NASSCOM to solicit registrations – submitted 15000 new applications to CEO + some of the large corporate’s made direct submissions • Colleges – worked with majority of local colleges to solicit registrations – submitted 10000 new applications to CEO + some of the large colleges made direct submissions • Current Focus • Sensitize educated citizens to join the election process and actually “Vote” • Enable information flow to citizens to facilitate participation in the voting process for the upcoming general elections
Steps to Fill Form 6 • Assembly Constituency: Use the same details as identified above for filling Form ID • Applicant’s Details: Use the sequence of First Name – Middle Name – Surname (or last name) • Age as on 1st January 2008: • Sex: • Date of birth: • Place of birth: • Father/ Mother/ Husbands Name: Fill in only name - in the same order of priority • Particulars of place of ordinary residence: Fill in the “Present Residential Address” • Details of members of applicants family already included in the current electoral roll of the constituency: give the details if available OR leave this blank • Declaration: Please strike out all matter from (iv) till the end • Electors photo identity card (if issued) number: Leave this space blank • Place, Date, Signature: • Photograph – paste 1 recent passport size photograph at the top-right-corner of the 1st pace of the form
