A story we have all heard but somehow we forget to remember! • Most Nigerians actually did study history in secondary school. • And Nigerian history did describe the brutal nature of British colonialism and the valiant and inspired struggles of our Founding Fathers to bring about a Free Nigeria. • But somehow, somewhere, our sense of heritage, of pride and of obligation, was lost. • But, there is another chance!

  5. 2010 The 50th Anniversary of Nigerian Independence • A 13 episode “Roots style” Television mini-series that will... • Highlight all of the significant events from the time the British first set foot on Nigerian soil through Independence. • A series that will track the lives of our Founding Fathers (And Mothers) from childhood through their greatest achievements.

  6. OUR HERITAGE:The Real Meaning of Nigerian Independence. • We will reveal the real motives of those who fought to retain OUR Freedom and Independence. • We will hear the memorable words of many who died or were sent into exile so that we could have Freedom and Liberty.

NIGERIA: OUR HISTORY, OUR HERITAGE An “Enter-Educate” drama series with the emphasis on “Entertain.” We will fascinate our audience by showing our Founding Fathers and Mothers Up Close and Personal. We will make them real, recreating their lives and their loves as well as the great moments in which they changed the destiny of a nation .

NIGERIA: OUR HISTORY, OUR HERITAGE We will understand our heroes by being there as they: Explain to their wives and children the reason for their absence from their homes and why they must share the sacrifice. Discuss their differences with one another and compromise so that they can achieve their common goal...The birth of a new nation. Explain to the British the consequences of not ending their forced rulership over Nigeria.

  10. WHO ARE OUR AUDIENCES? • Those who presently make decisions and operate the society and its prevailing norms. • Youth. Nearly half of Nigerians are under the age of 45, a quarter are under 25. Our youth represent the here, the now and the future. They are the largest, most important and most needy of our audiences.

HOW WILL WE DO IT? • A BOARD OF ADVISERS: Will monitor and approve content ; will design curriculum as well as behavioral objectives. • Research, research, research • The best Nigerian writers here and abroad • The best Nigerian crews from here and abroad • The proper technology • You do it for your advertising – let’s give our youth and our nation the drop dead quality our story deserves.

  14. HOW WILL WE DO IT?WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT! A project of this magnitude will necessary require funding. Our hope is that we have inspired you greatly as co-workers to help Nigerians appreciate their heritage and together with a stronger sense of pride and obligation, build a greater Nigeria.
