  2. Background: • Based off Niagara County Community College • Paper Filing System • All Courses Offered • Tutors must have received above a B • Tutors are paid $7.75/hr

  3. Business Problems • Too much time spent on paperwork • Paper system causes: • Legibility issues • Confusion between employees • Confusion between tutors and tutees • Less time spent tutoring

  4. Problems Solved Through Database: • Decrease in paperwork will: • Save money • Decrease time inputting student information • More time spend on tutoring • More time spent on the matching • Decreased confusion

  5. Identification of Business Value • Database will improve company by: • More organization • Matching tutors and tutees up quicker • Decreased time spend on filing • Increased tutor and tutee sign ups • More funding from university

  6. Database Design Overview • Intended to be used in office • Office worker matches up by time and subject • Handles contact information for both tutor and tutee

  7. User Interface Design: • Sign ups for tutors and tutees occur at the beginning of semester • At sign up date tutors and tutees write times available and subject • Sign ups occur on database through menu system • Tutors form and Tutees form • Office will match up tutors and tutees
