  1. DzigaVertov(1896-1954) Also known as Denis Kaufman, He was a soviet pioneer documentary, film, news reel director and cinema theorist. His filming practices and theories influenced the cinema verite style of documentary movie making and the DzigaVertov group, who were a radical filmmaking cooperative which was active in the 1960s. In 1918 at the age of 22, Vertov began editing for Kino-Nedelya, the Moscow Cinema Committee's weekly film series, and the first newsreel series in Russia. He did this for three years. He then went on to join the Russian newspaperPravada which in English translates to “film truth”. Dzigaset upon “finding the truth“/ exposing the deeper meaning in film that cannot be seen by the naked eye. DzigaVertov is an editing pioneer because in 1919 he created the montage method cine-eye(Kino-eye). He believed that the use of this method would influence the evolution of man through the poetry of machines. This meaning in his words “it is possible to see life processes in any temporal order or at any speed”.
