Previous Neighborhood Meeting • LINCing Dallas – June 2, 2012 led by City Design Studio • Resulting Objectives and Design Program • Lamar was identified as a grand boulevard • Pedestrian amenities and lighting were identified as a key implementation step • Enhance existing parks and create new open spaces sprinkled throughout • Create a collaboration between local businesses and neighborhood associations to visually enhance the area • Engage artists and develop public art

Project Goals • Reconstruct deteriorated pavement from I-45 to Hatcher • Improve drainage main lines with South Lamar • Upgrade water and wastewater • Incorporate pedestrian amenities • Benches, trees and crosswalks
Project Goals • Improve traffic flow for current and future growth • Create a sustainable roadway • Coordinate with TxDOT project on roadway transition and drainage improvements
Proposed Improvements Roadway • 4 lanes, undivided with turn lanes (48’ wide typ) • New concrete roadway (approx. 2600LF) w/curb and gutter • Decorative crosswalks at Pine and Hatcher Pine St Marburg St Stoneman St Pear St Bannock Ave Hatcher St S Lamar St
Proposed Improvements • Large green space w/wider sidewalks on residential side • Shared bicycle lanes on both sides *Cross section is conceptual and may change during the design process
