  3. All properties in the City of Brampton are zoned for a specific type of use. Zoned means an area of land designated for a certain use under the Zoning By-law (270-2004 ) Use of properties in Brampton

  19. A property cannot be used for a different purpose than the one for which it is zoned. For example : You may not operate most types of commercial businesses ( i.e. auto repair garage) on a property that is zoned residential. But the exception, home- based business under the Zoning By-Law (270-2004).
