  1. How to Have The Most Perfect Duvet Day Ever In today’s world, we are constantly dashing around, whether that means running to work, heading to the supermarket or driving to gym classes. This hectic pace can’t be sustained and your batteries need to be recharged which is why, every once in a while, you need to just take a day for yourself. To do that, a duvet day is a perfect solution! While duvet days are often taken as part of your holiday entitlement, some employers are recognising the benefit of giving duvet days to their employees and offer them as part of their remuneration package. If you are planning a little duvet day for yourself, we have put together the ultimate guide to ensure that you have a perfect duvet day!

  2. 1. The duvet The idea of a duvet day is to spend it in bed, which is why you need to make sure that you have your cosiest duvet or quilt to hand. The bigger your quilt the better it is to wrap around you so pull out your king size quilt or even your queen size quilt and snuggle up! Obviously, a clean and fresh quilt will make for an even better duvet day so it’s a good idea to change your bedding the night before. 2. Tea/coffee and snacks Whether you opt for tea or coffee and snacks will be down to personal preference but we think that the addition of these two essentials makes for a much better experience. And, if you have someone to make tea/coffee for you, all the better! However, if you don’t, why not make a flask of tea/coffee up for yourself and grab some snacks from your press and get yourself back to bed – pronto! 3. Television A duvet day provides the best opportunity to binge watch your way through an entire season of your favourite TV show. Yes, we did just say an entire season! Alternatively, you can grab some of your favourite DVDs and stick them on. There is little better than snuggling down into your quilt with your favourite thriller/action/comedy film ready to go and knowing that you have nothing to do and all day to do it! 4. Reading If you’re not a television person, you might prefer to catch up on some long overdue reading. Get stuck into a book you’ve been dying to start for ages or perhaps you’d prefer to flick through some fashion magazines – whatever your reading preference, a duvet day is a great opportunity to do it! Duvet days are made for pure self-indulgence and are a perfect solution to combat the never- ending rat race that can be life. Make sure to regularly step off the track and take a day for yourself, just you and your quilt – it’ll do you the world of good.
