  5. WHAT IS AN INTERNATIONAL VOLUNTEER?

INEX- Association of Voluntary Activities • VISSION • Tolerant and open society respecting cultural differences and honouring principles of sustainable development • Active and responsible citizens who take interest in the world around them and take part in publicly beneficial activities without the claim for financial profit • International and intercultural cooperation based on the principles of equal approach to all, mutual respect and understanding

WHAT HAVE WE DONE IN • 20 YEARS? • Sent 10,000 volunteers around the world who have performed • 1 000,000 hours of volunteer work through our partners’ organization • Hostedaround 6,000 international volunteers in the Czech Republic in • Capacity in CZ • - 860 sent volunteers • 550 hosted volunteers • 1500 people each year

  9. WHAT WE DO • Short-term (14-21 days)- workcampy • Mid-term (1-3 months) • - MTV (mid-term volunteering) • - EVS (European voluntary service) • - GLEN (Global education network) • Long- term (3 months and more) • - LTV (long-term volunteering) • - EVS

  11. HOSTING VOLUNTEERS FROM ABROAD - 2010 We work with 30 to 40 local initiatives and NGOs each year.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM INTERNATIONAL VOLUNTARY SERVICE IN CZ? • Volunteer: • Training (Ministery of Internal Affairs - Law) • Administration fee 2,200 • Full board and logging is covered by hosted organization • Work for 6 hours 5 days a week for local initiatives in the field of enviroment social, non-formal educational, cultural themes • No specific qualifikation required or previous experience; what matters in the MOTIVATION,
