Week 1: August 12-16 • Abstract- adj. thought of apart from concrete realities, specific objects, or actual instances • Acknowledge- v. to admit to be real or true; recognize the existence, truth, or fact of • Accuracy- n. the condition or quality of being true, correct, or exact • Aggregate- adj. formed by the conjunction or collection of particulars into a whole mass or sum; total • Allocate- v. to set apart for a particular purpose; assign or allot
Week 2- August 19-23 • Assign- v. to give or allocate; allot: • Attach- v. to join in action or function; make part of • Author- v. to originate; create a design for • Bond- n. binding security; firm assurance • Brief- n. a short and concise statement or written item.
Week 3- August 26-30 • Capable- adj. having power and ability; efficient; competent • Cite- v. to mention in support, proof, or confirmation; refer to as an example • Cooperate- v. to work or act together or jointly for a common purpose or benefit. • Discriminate-v. to make a distinction in favor of or against a person or thing on the basis of the group, class, or category to which the person or thing belongs rather than according to actual merit • Display- v. to show ostentatiously; flaunt

Week 6- September 16-20 • Flexible- adj. susceptible of modification or adaptation; adaptable • Furthermore- adv. in addition; moreover • Gender-n. kind, sort, or class, such as males and females • Ignorance- n. the state or fact of being ignorant; lack of knowledge, learning, information, etc. • Incentive- n. something that incites or tends to incite to action or greater effort, as a reward offered for increased productivity.

Week 19 - January 6-10 • Identical – adj. being the very same; similar • Ideology- n. the body of doctrine, myth, belief, etc., that guides an individual, social movement, institution, class, or large group. • Infer- v. to derive by reasoning; conclude or judge from premises or evidence • Innovate- v. to introduce something new; make changes in anything established. • Insert- v. to introduce or cause to be introduced into the body of something
Week 20 – January 13-17 • Intervene- v. to come between disputing people, groups, etc.; intercede; mediate. • Isolate- v. to set or place apart; detach or separate so as to be alone. • Media- n. the means of communication, as radio and television, newspapers, and magazines, that reach or influence people widely • Mode- n. a manner of acting or doing; method; way • Paradigm- n. an example serving as a model; pattern.
Week 21- January 20-24 • Phenomenon- n. something that is impressive or extraordinary. • Priority- n. the right to take precedence in obtaining certain supplies, services, facilities, etc., especially during a shortage. • Prohibit- v. to forbid (an action, activity, etc.) by authority or law • Publication- n. something that is published, especially a periodical. • Quote- v. to repeat (a passage, phrase, etc.) from a book, speech, or the like, as by way of authority, illustration, etc.
