LMVJV Staffing Update – FY11 • Currently there are 7 JV staff • 2 GIS Biologists • 1.5 Administrative Assistants • 1 IT Specialist • 2 Partnership Coordinators • 6.5 Staff are funded through 1234 & • 1 Partnership Coordinator by Contributed Funds • Two position openings at present • JV Coordinator • Science Coordinator • JV Coordinator position announcement has closed, • qualified candidates have been identified and panel • is in the review and consideration phase • Science Coordinator?

  5. Partnership Coordinator/ Contributed Funds • LMVJV Partnership is in 3rd year of 3 year commitment to provide Partnership Coordinator (PC) funding

Partnership Coordinator/ Contributed Funds • LMVJV Partnership is in 3rd year of 3 year commitment to provide Partnership Coordinator(PC) funding • This FY, additional LMVJV funding was available to provide a one-time boost to PC • Remaining contributed funds will support a PC through FY12 (Sept 30) – allowing the partnership to support a PC for a fourth year

LMVJV Staffing Update January Advisory Team Recommendation Issue: LMVJV Office Staff Hiring Recommendation: Filling both vacant positions (Coordinator, Science Coordinator) and maintaining both Partnership Coordinator positions is necessary for sustaining a desirable level of Joint Venture functions & services. The Working Group recommends hiring the Joint Venture Coordinator as soon as possible, and hiring the Science Coordinator as soon as the JV Coordinator is in place to assist in that process. Several partners have expressed the intent to make contributions to Partnership Coordination beyond FY12. It is anticipated that a combination of partner contributions and support from LCC funds will enable the LMVJV to maintain the current staff strength (9) into the future.
