  4. ACROSTIC POEM • The verse is unrhymed • The title is the subject of the poem • The title is printed vertically, letter by letter • Each letter is used to create a phrase or sentence which describes the topic.

  5. Example of an acrostic poem… • Happy times with family • Opening gifts on my birthday. • Memories captured in pictures • Enjoying our time together.

  6. Example of an acrostic poem… • Studying social studies • Creating projects using the computer • Helping each other with schoolwork • Opening our minds to new learning • Observing our school rules • Learning together
