Duties: Line up speakers at least 1 month in advance; Write conformation letter to speaker re: date, time and location; Let program chair coordinator know as soon as possible, if you need help finding speakers; Follow up with a thank you letter to speaker. It begins on October 1 of any year and ends on September 30 of the following year. Though officers are elected in April and May, they assume office the following October 1. Formal induction of new officers is arranged as close to October 1 as possible. The outgoing president is responsible for planning the induction ceremony and celebration.
