Factors Affecting Participation at Face-to-Face Meetings • Demands of participants of current electronically-enhanced meetings include • Need for high-speed access Internet • Need for connectivity not only at meetings but at place of rest • Demands of industry of their participants • Reduced costs of travel • Reduced times in situ • Constantly in contact GSC-8, OTTAWA

8. E-Meeting Support • EWG has substantial resources to assist with e-meeting planning • “been there, done that, got T-shirt” • As technology evolves, so will EWG to respond to innovations • Collective experience in leading-edge technologies • GSC “Prime Directive” – Share and Cooperate GSC-8, OTTAWA
