Did You Know? • The community sends over 6,000 dogs and cats to the Lowndes county animal shelter each year. • And only 15 % of those animals are adopted or claimed by their owners. • In Lowndes County last year more than 5,000 homeless dogs and cats were euthanized.
Building lifelong bonds between people and animals through education, community outreach programs and the prevention of cruelty. Providing prompt, professional services to the citizens and animals of our community. Protecting the public from stray animals. Goals The shelter is committed to:
To Adopt a Pet • To adopt a new pet or claim a lost pet, please come: • Tuesday through Friday 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. • Saturday 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. • Closed Sundays and Mondays • To drop off an animal please come: • 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m, 7 days a week The Website *contains a list of available pets

Having Fun!! • Me getting stampeded by a litter of puppies and a humongous dog.
In Conclusion… • I had a lot of fun despite the smell in the shelter. • Once again, I got trampled, it had to be fun.
