Spiritual Gift Definition Spiritual gifts are divine abilities distributed by the Holy Spirit to each Christian according to the will of God for the wellbeing of the body of Christ.

EXAMPLES OF GIFTS
APOSTLESHIP • Ability that enables a person, based on his/her spiritual authority, to be known voluntarily by the church, as a spiritual leader. • Plant churches, plan new ministries, perform leadership in the local church and serve in areas not yet reached. (John 13: 12-17)
2.TONGUES • Ability to speak or interpret another language. • Translate and perform jobs with different cultures. (1 Corinthians 14: 26-28)
3.MERCY • Ability to feel empathy for people who suffer physical, emotional and spiritual problems. • Visit the sick, community service and prison ministry. (Luke 10: 33-37)
4.EXPELING DEMONS • Ability to free people for demon possessions, in the name of Jesus. • Prayer ministry and spiritual support to evangelism. (Luke 10: 17-20)
5.SERVICE • Ability to serve or render assistance to accomplish a specific task. • Deaconship, visitation and volunteer assistance. (Luke 22: 24-27)
6. CELIBACY • Ability to remain unmarried and happy without enduring too much sexual temptation. • It liberates the person to exercise other gifts with more dedication and efficiency. (1 Corinthians 7: 32-35)
7.KNOWLEDGE • Ability to discover, collect, analyze and formulate information and ideas that are important to the wellbeing and growth of the church. • Writer, Biblical instructor, counselor, and teacher. (Ephesians 3: 14-19)
8.EVANGELIST • Ability to expose the Gospel through different means to attract people to Christ. • Personal ministry, preaching and seminars. (Acts 8: 26-40)
9.VOLUNTARY POVERTY • Ability to renounce material possession and luxury to adopt an adequate lifestyle within a society. • Outreach service and mission in other cultures. (Acts 4: 32-27)
10.HOSPITALITY • Ability to take care of people giving them a warm reception, companionship, hospitality and nourishment. • Reception, small groups, and house and shelter people. (Genesis 18: 1-8)
11.GIVING • Ability to contribute with assets to the kingdom of God, happily and generously. • Support missionaries, special events, treasurer and community assistance. (2 Corinthians 8: 2-5).

15.HEALING • Ability to serve as an instrument through which God restores the health of the sick with or without the use of medication. • Prayer group, counseling and visitation to the sick. (James 5: 14, 15)
16.HELPS • Ability to put skills to the service of others so that their gifts are more efficient. • Telephone service, secretary, deaconship and assistance to leaders. (Luke 10: 38-42)
17.PASTOR • Ability to assume leadership and responsibility for the wellbeing of a church. • Church service direction, Sabbath School, counseling and visitation. (John 10: 1-15)
