DO • Begin class on time. • Be organized.
DO • Make rules an integral part of the curriculum. • Take time to listen.
DO • Expect positive behavior. • Believe in yourself and your students.
Things to Remember • Have a clear set of ground rules. • Schedule class time to allow students to discuss their problems.
Things to Remember • Utilize parent contacts. • Let students know that you care.
DON’T • Grab things from students. • Become confrontational.
DON’T • Physically block an exit. • Argue with students. • Demean students.
