? What is ENGAGE?
ENGAGE is a statewide plan to improve the lives of Youth and Young Adults (14-21) with Mental Health Conditions including Co-occurring Disorders and multi-systems needs.

…And 3/4 by age 24 ½ of all lifetime cases of mental illness begin by age 14…

Youth and Young AdultsAdvisory Council • YYAT Advisory Council • Consists of representatives from YYAT Advocacy Groups • Youth MOVE • Ohio Youth Advisory Board • COHHIO Youth Empowerment Program • OEC Legacy Council • Governed by the YYAT • Makes recommendations to the Governor and the OFCF Cabinet GOAL 1

VOICE –YYAT and their parents or youth defined families will be valued, empowered, and engaged partners at the state and local levels. • YYAT Advisory Council • Voice in Treatment • Youth & Parent advocacy, leadership development, and professional partnerships. GOAL 2
3 GOAL 3 Care, Treatment & Home
CARE – Ensure the availability and accessibility of a continuum of effective prevention, treatment, resiliency, recovery services and supports. • Train workforce on needs & partnering with YYAT and families • Train workforce on the System of Care • Transition teams • Simplify enrollment for Medicaid/Public Assistance Programs GOAL 3
Treatment – Ensure the available and accessibility of a continuum of effective prevention, treatment, resiliency, recovery services and supports • Access physical and behavioral health care • Explore expanding treatment services • Use trauma-informed care • Focus on prevention, health promotion, and peer supports GOAL 3
Home – Ensure the available and accessibility of a continuum of effective prevention, treatment, resiliency, recovery services and supports. • Identify and expand housing options • Explore Medicaid to cover • Supportive Housing Services • Outreach services • Expand respite services GOAL 3

Jobs & Education - Ensure the availability and accessibility of quality and appropriate workforce development and post-secondary educational services and supports. • Expand career exploration & high school internship. Ease Credit Transfers • Explore waiving college application fees for YYAT • Assist transitioning to post-secondary education by targeting needs (housing, application assistance, supplies, etc). • Supported employment services GOAL 4
