Treasurer Responsibilities 5 – 20 hours per week Maintain accurate record of receipts and payments (Quickbooks) Available to collect funds and make deposits during banking hours Track activities against the budget Present financial statements prior to board and general membership meetings
Treasurer Responsibilities Ensures check approval process meets SOP guidelines Collects money from committee members during fundraising events Facilitates end of year audit Prepares financial annual report Submits PTA’s form 990 to the IRS

JDE Budget Overview • 806 students • 54 faculty members • 42 teachers • 37 homerooms • 5 specials • 12 professional staff • $63,500 from WCPSS (<$75 per child) • 30% ($20k) for paper and ink • $20k total left for general purchases
Volunteering • Need help to support committees and events • Prefer PTA membership, but not required • Volunteer form on website • Look for form via e-mail or in Wed. folders • Must complete volunteer background check • We are all recruiters • Corporate sponsorships welcome
