  3. What do we do? Mpala facilitate human-wildlife co-existence and the advancement of human livelihoods.

  4. We do this through: • education • outreach • developing science-based solutions to guide conservation actions Mpala … a living laboratory

  5. Those seeking science-based solutions Students & curious researchers from around the world. >100-150 researchers/yr from >40 institutions from 17 countries. 300+ students/yr attending courses in ecology, economics, engineering to art.

Our relevance to YOU?Provide knowledge about where you live • Are Laikpia’s wildlife & livestock numbers increasing or decreasing? • How can I best monitor the health of my ranch? • How rapidly should I move my bomas across the landscape? • Should I burn my grasslands? • Are there new, emerging diseases I should worry about?
