WAR YEARS • Revere was commissioned as major of infantry on April of 1776
MIDNIGHT RIDE • Paul Revere was captured in Concord , so William Dawes finished the ride for him . Dawes was also captured by Redcoats
Silversmith years He was a master engraver and a good one ,too. He was not like all the other engravers at the time. He even engraved his own pieces .
Family life and importance • Paul Revere’s first wife was Sarah Orne . They had 8 children , but only 6 survived. • Revere’s 2nd wife was Rachael Walker. They had 8 children , 5 survived . • He was important because he almost made the midnight ride and he was a master silversmith who makes weapons for the soldiers and armor for them, too. He served The Battle of Rhode island as a colonial militia officer.
