  1. How to apply for the Health and Safety Awareness Course For the past few decades, CITB has mandated the construction workers to take a designated health and safety awareness course and training so that the environment in the construction remains safest. The simple course is followed by a test to evaluate what the candidate has learned about the health and safety protocols set by the authority. The health and safety training is given by the reputed agencies in order to aid the construction workers to pass the exam on the first attempt. Even if you are busy, it is easy to avail the health safety and environment test online and study to pass the exam.

  2. Overview of the course Due to the increasing complexity of the construction sites, CITB has mandated the construction workers to take up a health and safety course. This course will aim at delivering knowledge regarding the potential hazards on the site. It will also provide practical advice to the candidates regarding how to keep the environment safest so that they and their colleagues can be safer all the time. The course imparts knowledge regarding: The need and means to prevent any accident on the site Safety and Healthy laws How a candidate fits into the role for controlling and managing the site How to assess risk and methodically prepare statements How to perform your duties safely and ask for any advice how to properly report any unsafe act on the site to prevent accidents The course is a must for every candidate willing to pursue a career in the construction industry. The certification is valid for 5 years and you will have to retake before the expiration date arrives. Requirements for the application There is no such requirement to enter the Health Safety Courses. If you can understand and speak English, you are eligible for the course. The duration of the course is just 1 day. The authorities will set a platform where you will be properly taught by the mentors. Once the course is complete, you will have to appear for a test for the evaluation of your understanding.

  3. How to apply for the course? You can either go to the official website, and book a seat for the course or you can take the help from the course material provider. The course will be carried for 7.5 hours straight by the eminent mentors. There will be cases studies, group work, classroom discussions and group presentations throughout the course duration. The questions in the test will be in the multiple choice format. The Health Safety Courses will give you an extra edge in finding the right employer in this particular field. Once you have completed the health and safety training and pass the exam, you will be eligible to apply for CSCS card.
