  1. Choral Reading Creating an effect with your nothing more than the greatness of your voice.

  2. What is it? Why is it? • Choral Reading is multiple voices reading poetry in a creative way using tone, pauses, volume, pacing, presence (eye contact, body language, facial expressions, gestures, etc) to create a specific mood in an audience. • IMPORTANT REMINDERS!: • TONE is used by the speaker to create a MOOD in the audience. • DON’T speak too fast!

  3. Your task: • To work with your group to creatively present your poem to the class. • Will you read it in unison? In parts? Both? It’s up to you! • YOU MUST: • Read the title of the poem to the class • Have everyone in your group participant • NOT add or remove any words in original the poem. • Consider what you are assessed on • See rubric!

  4. *All students are assessed individually, performances will be TOMORROW!!!
