Some previous experience Client: California State University Long Beach (Long Beach, CA) Project: Collaborated with the Department of Sociology to create an online version of the course “151-Introduction to Criminal Law” using Moodle. Client: Arizona State University (Tempe, AZ) Project: Learning Shift created a learning portal for the course Sociology of Crime. The developed portal used integrated video to show actual situations Client: George Mason University (Fairfax, VA) Project: Learning Shift developed technology-enhanced assignments within technology-focused courses.

Challenge UNU Mission Statement • The Technology Integration Plan (TIP) project is to provide the faculty at United Nations University (UNU) with innovative instruction to increase the integration of technology into their learning environments. • The UNU’s project has a strong focus on bringing its global faculty members up to date with the latest instructional technology.

  7. Challenge • TIP – overall project and introductory courseware module • TIC – courseware that focuses on instruction/integration in the classroom • TIDE – courseware with focus on instruction/integration in distance education

Project Goals • Increase faculty’s instructional-technology awareness • Integrate instructional pedagogy and technology across all thirty-two campuses • Update existing technology and instructional knowledge bases • Increase access to on-demand knowledge bases • Create opportunities for professional learning communities
