Smithfield Cruz-In 2012 Rules and Guidelines Welcome to Smithfield Friday Night Cruz-In & Car Show.  This event is intended to be fun for car enthusiasts, their families and our guests.  The following rules are established for the benefit of all participants: 1. We ask for a $2.00 donation per vehicle. All proceeds go to Lion’s charities2. No bicycles, skateboards, scooters, roller blades, or anything used in a manner that could injure people or damage vehicles allowed in show area3. Please do not touch vehicles without owner’s permission4. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.  Please remember you are responsible for the actions of your children.  Ask if you want to get a close look at a vehicle, most owners will work with you.  Owners have a lot of time and money invested in their vehicles5. No inappropriate behavior with vehicles will be tolerated on the show grounds (i.e., burn-outs, engine revving, car hopping, loud radios or other disruptive actions).6. Alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, and firearms are strictly prohibited7. The property speed limit is 10 mph8. Trailered vehicles report to car show entrance for specific instructions from staff9. Vendors must coordinate activities with Smithfield Lions prior to Cruz-Ins. Vendors will be considered on a case by case basis provided appropriate licenses are obtained, prior approval has been granted by Smithfield Lions and Charlie Daniels Racing and if potential vending does not infringe upon established vendors 10. We are guests of Charlie Daniels Racing.  So PLEASE take your trash with you or use receptacles provided11. Pets are welcomed but must be controlled -- either carried or on a leash. Extra caution should be taken with leashed pets to assure neither the leash nor the pet damage participant vehicles12. Show time is from 6 – 9 PM. All vehicles should be cleared out of the lot by 9:30 PM. In summary, we simply ask participants to avoid behavior that isn’t conducive to a family setting.
