(Discuss) • Why do the students try to disguise teasing as a joke? (Discuss) • Is it ever a joke to tease others? Why or Why not? (Discuss)

  3. Harassment • Students need to distinguish between harmless teasing and behavior that has crossed the line. • Students need to recognize that cloaking behavior under the guise of fun and humor does not change the fact that it’s still harassment.

  4. Victims have rights • Students should recognize intentional and malicious teasing. • Victims and bystanders should stand up to the perpetrator. • Tell a teacher, councilor, police officer, or the principal.
