The song was recorded during sessions for the album The Beatles 22 and August 23, 1968 at EMI's London studios in Abbey Road. At the sitting of mixing the album, directed by Lennon, McCartney and George Martin, it was decided to use it as the opening track.As a technical specification, the song is a rock and roll fast, the last of its kind in the discography of the group.
