  6. Beginning… Situational Writing Continuous Writing One day, our teacher, Mrs Woo, taught our class how to make ice-creams using the machines that the school had bought. We were excited as it was our first time. All of us love ice-creams. We listened to the teacher’s instructions and made the ice-creams. It was so tasty. Suddenly, I smelt smoke. I turned around to see smoke billowing from the machines. My heart pounded fiercely. I bolted out of my seat and ran after my teacher. I told her what had happened and she used her mobile phone to call the General Office. By then, the pupils were led down the stairs by their teachers. Soon, the fire engines came and the fire was put out. We were glad that no one was injured. My principal praised me for telling my teacher on time about the fire. One day, Jenny was walking along the park when she saw a poster on the “ON-THE-SPOT” Art Competition. She was interested to join the competition. As it was the weekend, she decided to take part in the competition. She rushed home to get her crayons and other colouring materials. She registered herself at the registration booth and started drawing a beautiful and colourful picture. Soon, it was time to hand in the works done by the competitors. Jenny could not wait for the results to be announced. In a short while, the judges announced the results. She won the first prize! Everyone clapped for Jenny. She rushed up the stage to receive her prize. She umped for joy. She was so proud. She was grinning as she walked down from the stage. She was sure that her mother would be very happy to know that she had won the first prize. body… ending…
