  1. DCD Training Happy New Year Check-in & Task List

  2. View your personal task list on website • Resources • Research • DCD Training Conference 09-10 • Show tasks for selected NCRLAP participant • You will also want to view the task list for the DCD participants assigned to your module • You can also view the entire task list for all participants

Managing time/task list • Make sure task list is accurate- no missing tasks • Review the dates and make sure they work for you (no conflicts with other work assignments, time off, vacations, etc.) • When you talk with your DCD counterparts, decide on specific dates as needed based on their schedules. • Put important dates/deadlines and “no assessment” block outs as needed based on dates to manage your time. Most deadlines allow for a range of time so work can be completed during office days. • Let Nicole know of any conflicts and on decide another workable time.

Content task deadlines are the same for each module (8 steps) • 11/17/09-4/30/10 Develop initial draft of presentation • 1/18/10-1/22/10 Discuss survey results with DCD regarding module content • 3/8/10-3/12/10 Content facilitator meets with Nicole to discuss progress • 4/12/10-4/16/10 Content facilitators get feedback from DCD on session content • 4/26/10-5/7/10 Final draft review of content with DCD • 5/10/10-5/14/10 DCD approves session content • 5/18/10 Final prototype of session due to Nicole • 10/1/10-10/29/10 Content facilitators to present content information at sessions (exact dates TBA)

Video deadlines vary depending upon production dates • Dec/Jan A Safe Space for GM Play • Jan/Feb Handwashing and Table Sanitation • Jan/Feb/Mar About the Assessment Process in NC • Apr/May Using Supportive and Guided Language with Children • June/July Considering the Indoor Space for Play and Learning Note the video guide deadlines might go into the following month.

  6. Video/guide production (5 steps) • Get DCD and expert feedback on video script/shot list • Proof video and revise narration as needed • Initial draft of video guide • Captioning proofed by NCRLAP • Review and Revise Guide

  7. Next steps • Nicole will email survey findings to you • Contact your DCD counterparts to discuss the findings • Begin initial work on your module content based on survey input and your ideas • Contact Nicole for guidance / questions / support
