  3. Language Arts Collections: • 6 Units comprised of fiction and nonfiction reading selections • Close Reader • Assessments • Language Arts Skills • Writing • Grammar • Vocabulary • Spelling

  4. Independent Reading • Fiction & Non-fiction • 2 book shares per marking period • 2 book projects per marking period • Reading in school and at home

  5. 6th Grade Research Project • Replaces Elementary Performance Assessment (EPA) • Completed in homeroom • In the Spring
