  4. Content Redesign • View Content and Manage Content have been combined • A New Layout with a Course Overview, Bookmarks, Events, and Table of Contents • Drop and Drag Reordering • Completion Tracking • Send to Binder App

Content Redesign Continued • Create Modules from the Table of Contents screen • View the whole Table of Contents or a single Module at a time • Inline Editing for Modules and Topics • Create and Add Activities such as Discussion topics, Dropbox folders, and Quizzes right from the Content area • Saving options changed to Publish and Save as Draft

New Content Topic View • Topic information will appear near the top of the screen along with buttons to download and edit (highlighted in red) • Ability to “Add a Description…” to describe what your students should do with this assignment (highlighted in orange) • You can add Completion Tracking; Date Restrictions and Release Conditions; and Learning Objectives (highlighted in green) • List of all the Topics within this Module (highlighted in purple)

  10. Discussions • The layout has changed slightly to a list view • Forums can be collapsed but will show the number of unread messages • Topics will display unread messages, the number of posts, and the number of views as well as when the last post was added and by whom

  12. Dropbox • Has added a new Due Date option on Restrictions tab: • Start Date – when the Dropbox becomes available. • Due Date – when your students need to turn in their work. If they are late, it will show by how many days. • End Date – when the Dropbox becomes unavailable. • The Grade and Leave Feedback link has changed to Evaluate Submission

  15. Grades • Improved control for how grades display in the associated tool like the Dropbox or Quizzes • Instead of the Dropbox displaying 9/10 and the Grades area display an A or 90%, the instructor can set the Dropbox to display the A or 90%.

  17. Student View Preview • Each assessment tool now has a Student View Preview for instructors to make sure the tool is set up correctly.

User Progress Redesigned • There is now a “dashboard” view that will summarize the students’ activities in all the tools as well as individual screens. • You can restrict the time period you view to the last 7 days, the last 30 days, or all time. • Easier to print if you need a paper copy of the progress.

  21. Class Progress Introduced • Each course can have 4 indicators to check the class progress in. • Checklist, Content, Discussions, Dropbox, Grades, Login History, etc. • Has a “dashboard” display similar to the User Progress screen.
