  3. Benefits of Expanded Learning • Expanded curriculum = student choice • Individual pacing • Scheduling flexibility = more options • Special interest classes = college/career/personal exploration • AP Courses for college prep • Gifted classes • Credit recovery

  4. Who Can Take Expanded Learning Classes? • Grades 6-12 (PLATO) • Gifted may begin earlier

  5. What Are the Classes Like? • Offered by PLATO • Will be accredited as a regular Fairlawn class • Will meet eligibility requirements • Students assigned to a PLATO course, will be assigned a period in the Blended Learning Lab • Mr. Knouff will be assigned as the blended learning teacher • Blended learning period is flexible with schedule

  6. How Do I Sign Up? • Application from the office • Mark the classes you want • Parent Signature

  7. How Many Classes Can I Take? • Up to two at a time • May sign up for more as you complete them
