  2. What is LASSO? • Stands for Lambert Allied Student Support Organization. • Booster Organization for Lambert Music Program. • Registered 501c3 Charity Organization. • Made up of all parents with currently enrolled band students. • Run by a Board of Directors elected at an annual meeting.

  3. How is the LASSO Board Structured? • President • Secretary • Treasurers (2-3) • Account Payables • Account Receivables • Vice Presidents (3-4) • Members-at-Large (up to 6)

  4. What Does LASSO Manage? • All Fundraising Activities • Band Operational Activities • Special Events • Annual operating budgeting • Collects band fees, special payments, and corporate donations. • Pays all band related expenses. • Holds and keeps a record of all monthly meetings.

  5. When Does LASSO Meet? • 2nd Monday of every month with the exception of December and June. • LASSO Board meets from 5:30pm – 7:00pm • LASSO Parents meet from 7:00pm – 8:00pm • Meetings are normally held in the band room unless otherwise noted on the band calendar. • Best source for up to date band information.

  7. Expectation #1: Pay Your Fees • Participation Fees are due prior to the beginning of each season. • Fees can be paid by check, money order or credit card. • Make checks payable to LASSO. Include your student’s name in the for line of the check. • Deposit payment of $150 for the 2019-2020 school year is due by the end of April.

  8. Expectation #2 : Fundraise • Work at Ameris Bank Amphitheatre • Attend upcoming orientation/Team Training • Sign up to work an event • Co-Curricular members work 1 shift • Marching Band members work 2 shifts • Indoor Drumline and Winter Guard work 3 shifts • Work at Special Events - Lambert Winter Classic, WGI • Attend Spirit Nights • Enroll in Rewards Programs (Publix, Kroger, Amazon Smile)

  9. Expectation #3: Volunteer to Help • Chaperone Events (Home & Away Games and Competitions) • Work in the Concession Stands (Football Season and Special Events) • Help with Practice Field Preparation • Oversee Student Health and Safety (Band Camp, After School, Games and Competitions) • Provide Hospitality (Help feed the kids) • Develop and Maintain Marketing Materials • Website • Organize Senior Night and Special Events • Solicit Corporate Sponsorships • Fit and Assign Uniforms • Wranglers (Building and Moving Props and Equipment)

  10. What Else Do I Need to Know? • You can earn money by working at Ameris Bank Amphitheatre • Once you complete your required number of shifts at Ameris Bank Amphitheatre, you will eligible to work additional shifts for pay. • Regular Volunteer Shift - $50; Cash/Inventory Manager - $75 • Additional Shifts Payment Options: • Can be credited towards your child’s band fees • Can be donated to the band program • Can be paid to you in a check (completion of a w-4 is required)

  11. What Do you Need to do Now? • Pay your band deposit by April 30th • Sign up to attend an upcoming Ameris Bank Training and Concert Dates (www.lamberthsband.org)

  12. No Time to Fundraiser or Volunteer? • NEW this year! We have an opt-out option: • Fundraising (due in August) • Co-Curricular Buy Out (1 shift) $100 • Marching Band Buy Out (2 shifts) $200 • Volunteering (due in August) • Co-Curricular (5 hours) $50 • Marching Band Buy Out (30 hours) $300
