Enrollment Helpful Hints • When and employee is enrolled in Blue Medicare or a dependent plan has been selected, • follow the steps provided below: • Enroll the employee in the plan selected • Be sure to remove all dependents from coverage (If applicable) • Add the Spouse to BluesEnroll as an employee. If there is no Spouse, add the youngest child as the employee. • Add all remaining dependents for this contract under this individual’s coverage.
Billing Helpful Hints • With the addition of the dependent plans, new coverage level codes may be used on your invoice. These Dependent Division coverage levels will be used for both dependents of BlueMedicare enrollees and for the optional dependent health plan. Below is the list of the coverage level codes you may see. • Coverage Levels for Employee and Retiree Divisions: • 01 – Employee or Retiree only • 02 – Employee and Family • 03 – Employee and 1 dependent • 06 – Employee and Child/Children • 07 – Employee and Spouse/Domestic Partner • Coverage Levels for Dependent Divisions: • 17 – Children only • 18 – Spouse only • 19 – Spouse with more than 1 child • 20 – Spouse with 1 child
