  3. ABiotic factors Abiotic means "without life." Abiotic factors are all of the non-living things that are components of a habitat, such as sunlight, temperature, rainfall and soil conditions. Abiotic factors play an important role in ecosystems because they determine the conditions in which the plants and animals live, and to which they must adapt.

  4. PLANTS IN TUNDRA Pasqual Flower is a pretty tundra plant with several stems that rise 6-8 inches off the ground. On each stem is one flower with 5-8 petals.

  7. LOCATION Did you know that the Arctic Tundra is the world's youngest biome? It was formed 10,000 years ago. Located at latitudes 55° to 70° North, the tundra is a vast and treeless land which covers about 20% of the Earth's surface, circumnavigating the North pole. It is usually very cold, and the land is pretty stark. Almost all tundra's are located in the Northern Hemisphere.

If it is too hot, then the ice will melt so the animals that live on ice will drown because they can't go anywhere else
