  1. A great vacation for anyone on a budget is a cruise. When travelers come aboard the Zaandam, a cruise ship in the Holland America Line, they have access to nine levels of elegant lodgings, entertainment and fine dining. After offloading passengers, ships became incubators for crew infections. Future cruise credits must be used by the end of 2022. But Broward County Commissioner Michael Udine told Reuters that DeSantis might not have the last word, and that officials from the CDC, Florida Health Authority, U.S. Coast Guard, port authorities and Broward County sheriff were discussing plans and the ship could dock later this week. Thirteen sailors onboard the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Theodore Roosevelt have tested positive for the coronavirus for a second time, Politico reports Those sailors had recently returned from over two weeks of self-isolation following earlier positive COVID-19 diagnoses. On Thursday, Trump said he spoke to Arison, who had offered up his ships to house non-coronavirus patients. Other ships, like Carnival's Zaandam and Coral Princess , were forced to sail for more than a week to reach Florida's shores in early April after every country in the Western hemisphere with a cruise port turned them away. Roger Frizzell, chief communications officer of Carnival Covid-19 Corp., the world's largest cruise operator and the owner of the line that operates the Diamond Princess and the Grand Princess, said cruise lines in January began barring passengers who had been to China in the previous two weeks. The line canceled all new cruises for the next 60 days after government-led quarantines on two of its ships. While the figure is a fraction of the rising global toll, critics allege the crisis on board the ships is a reflection of an industry culture that prioritises "profits over lives" and routinely disregards passenger and crew safety. It turned out some of them had contracted coronavirus: On Friday, an airplane carrying more than 300 Americans and Canadians from the ship landed in Atlanta. The cruises will be suspended until April 3, the Italian company announced on Tuesday (March 10). Including ships that are part of ongoing, fleet-wide refurbishment projects such as Royal Caribbean's "Amplification" program and Celebrity's "Revolution" program.
