Administration • Provides events which foster leadership in engineering clubs and organizations • Offers resources to promote sustainability and growth of engineering organizations
Corporate Connections • Serve as a liaison to companies to host corporate development functions on campus • Corporate Leadership Workshops • Technical Days
FinanceVP of Finance distributes allocations and fundraises for Engineering Student Clubs Engineering Allocations • Approximately $22,000 for 50 organizations • Budget & Presentation • Receipts
Fundraising • GSB Funding • Foundation • Community Fundraising
OutreachVP of Outreach organizes outreach events for Engineering Student Clubs and the community • Engineering Day at the Mall • Ames Middle School Day • Merchandise Sales • Recognize outstanding clubs • Encourage clubs to actively volunteer on and off campus
Outstanding Club Recognition • Representation at Engineering Student Council General Meetings • Participation in Engineering Student Council events (Clubfest, Engineering Day at the Mall, Ames Middle School Day, etc.) • Active members (more than 10?) • Representation of at least one volunteer activity on or off campus • Hold at least one social event for club members • Club recognition • Positive representation at off campus events (i.e. competitions, conferences etc.) • Hold regular meetings • Use of allocated Engineering Student Council funds
EventsVP of Events is responsible for coordinating events for all engineering student organizations • Traditional Events • Engineering ClubFest • Order of the Engineer • Engineering Leadership Banquet
CommunicationsVP of Communications serves as secretary, web master and publicity chair • Web Master • Updates news/events and club information on the ESC Website • Secretary • Records minutes at all meetings • Publicity • Advertizes ESC activities
FLiEFreshmen Leaders in Engineering • FLiE members serve on ESC committees: • Publicity • Outreach • Events • Administration • Finance
VEISHEA Float • Main activity of FLiE is building the College of Engineering VEISHEA Float • In 2009 parade placed first place!! • Building the float is not restricted to FLiE • We can always use extra help during construction phase (February - April)
