How to prepare your Speech? 1- planning and collecting data; Spot the problems, collect information, find points to be improved. 2- How?? Talk to students and teachers. Ask questions: 1-what are people happy about in the school\class? 2- what would they like to change? 3-What do they think needs improvement? 4-What are the problems facing them inside the class? (bullying - low interest in extracurricular Activities- losing interest in education- Unacceptable language or behavior………….. 3-Get Ready Set your Goals! Now you are Ready to Write Your Speech!
How to write your Speech? Paragraph One : : Introduction 1- Grab the audience attention ; Start with; A question A quote A touching ,related story State the basics: Your name the position you are running for List your qualifications: Leadership skills organization skills communication skills Support them with a real activity you have done in real life .
How to write your speech? • Paragraph Two: Main Body • Mention points of improvement in the class; • Mention your solutions for these problems (real , logical and applicable Solutions.) • Mention if other classes or schools could overcome these problems • Figure out the best means to tackle these problems • Make your promises (that you can really keep)
How to write your speech? • Paragraph Three: Conclusion. • 1-2 sentences summary to your promises. • Emphasize your benefits to the audience. • Show them your passion and care. • Ask them to vote for you (vote for (name) )

Don’t be silly because this will make people think that you are not responsible. • Don’t look down on your paper too much, look up at the audience. • Only promise to do things that you really can do. • Practice reading your speech a few times. • Write about what you care about and attract the other students’ attention. • Show passion and excitement while you are talking. • Be patient an clear. • Even if you write a great speech, understand that you may win and you may lose the elections. So be prepared to congratulate the other winning candidate. • - Student council candidates should not attack each other. Otherwise, you could get into trouble and leave a bad impression on voters.
