  1. Life in‘British North America’ Task 1 - Read page 74. Create a neatly drawn timeline showing some of the key dates and events that are referenced for 1800 – 1875. Task 2 – Read pages 76 – 78 together in class and discuss politics, population, and economics. Task 3 – Who were the diverse groups of people in British North America? Create a chart that provides information about the four groups. Task 4 – What was daily life like for these groups of people living in BNA? (Again, perhaps a chart might be the best way to organize this.) Task 5 – Maps – Before(British North America before 1867) and After (North America today) (*Remember to use map rules for neatness!! And, be as detailed as you feel necessary!!) SCO 3.1 - evaluate the conditions of everyday life for diverse peoples living in British North America in the mid-1800s, including Aboriginal peoples, African-Canadians and Acadians
