  2. 10 • Read this book because it has a lot of action and not too much talking. When the characters ignite a big firecracker it actually burns someone's eyebrows off!

  3. 9 • Reason # 9 to read this story is because it is very funny in some places. When the characters are trying to balance on an axle from a car on a high fence, one of the kids falls off of the fence. Ahhhhh !

  4. 8 • The 8th reason to read this book is because it is exciting in many different chapters. At the middle of the book the main character Julian gets his girlfriend stolen from him at the fair and Julian gets very angry. You will have to read it to see what happens next! ->

  5. 7 • The top 7th reason to read this book is because it will make you think about odd situations. At the beginning of the story, Julian and Lonnie argue over the most appropriate way to kill a pigeon. How would you kill an injured pigeon?

  6. 6 • The 6th reason to read this book is because you will have things in common with the main character Julian. When Julian has to write a story in school, he complains that he is unable to write one thing for 6 hours. Have you ever felt that way with your homework?

  7. 5 • The 5th reason to read this book is to get ideas about how to annoy your siblings. Julian’s sister is obnoxious when he asks her for dating advice. Are you ever obnoxious to your siblings?

  8. 4 • The 4th reason to read this book is to watch Julian figure out how to talk to girls. He makes a lot of mistakes before he figures it all out and it will make you laugh.
