Why my explorer traveled to North America? My explorer traveled to North America because he was forced to go by Thomas Edge he wanted to find riches , and he wanted to trade with the native Americans .
What Obstacles did he face? Henry faced many obstacles. For example, he had to fight the Dutch, be forced to go on a boat by the mutineers with his 13 year old son (John) and 7 other sick people.
New comers Henry and his crew were the newcomers because they have been on land that they have not been on. The Native American also let them stay there for 10 days.
My Explorer contributed the NYC state history Henry did this by having many things named after him and becoming well known for many things like the hudson Parkway, Bridge, River, Park, High school, Elementary school, and an ice hockey stadium and doing something so dangerous that could have caused him his life or his sons life.
