So what does it take To Graduate?
27 Academic Credits (18.50 core, 8.5 elective) .75 Attendance credit or less
Attendance Credit Information: *You can be absent 4 times each class, each quarter… You can be tardy 4 times each class, each quarter… On the 5th time you will lose .25 credits of attendance for each class you are absent or tardy to.
YOU CAN HAVE .75 ATTENDANCE LOSS YOUR ENTIRE 3 YEARS AT Bonneville! There are ways to restore your credit if you need to.
Graduation • Requirements
Now…How about your ACADEMICS?
All Sophomores are required to take the following classes: English Math Science World Civilizations
English choices include: English 10 CP (college, career prep) OR English 10 Honors, (Pre-requisite is 85% or higher on entrance exam)
3 Credits of Math At least 2 Core: Secondary Math I or Secondary Math I Honors Secondary Math II or Secondary Math II Honors or Secondary Math III or Secondary Math III Honors Secondary Math III: can move to Pre-Calc. Math 1010, Math 1050 or CP Math. Only Secondary Math III Honors can move to AP Calculus ************************************************ 1 Elective (if opting out): Mathematic Essentials Accounting I, II Math Decision Making for Life Computer Programming 1A and 1B
You also need 3 Sciences 2 Core: EarthScience, Bio Ag. Biology, Biology Honors, Chemistry, Chemistry Honors Physics with Tech., Basic Physics or Physics ***************************** 1 Elective: Medical Anatomy and Physiology, Animal Science, Chem 1110 AP Environmental Science
You can choose either: World Civilizations CP (COLLEGE/CAREER PREP) P or AP European History (college level, 3.7 GPA recommended)
So, what exactly is AP? It stands for “Advanced Placement” which is a College Level class with potential to earn college credit (Which is why we recommend a GPA of 3.7, minimum)
Other suggested courses could include: Computer Tech. or Intro to comp. Science (if you haven’t already taken it this year) PE Fit for Life Health Education II
Did you also know….. That classes designed for students interested in ENGINEERING are offered at Two Rivers High School?
The classes are called Project Lead the Way (PLTW) and transportation is provided for Sophomores!
For a PLTW class, you sign up for 1 COMPLETE LINE on the registration form. They are held 2 periods in a row each semester.

More things to consider When choosing your classes: *Think about your career goals and how classes can relate * Are you college bound? What classes will prepare you? * What about higher level courses such as Honors or AP? We Recommend you take elective courses that would lead to possible career interests or pathways.
HOWEVER….. If you do take an HONORS or AP class, you are making a commitment. You may not able to change into a lower level class as they will likely be full…. Hmmm…

ALSO… Good things to know about SCHOLARSHIPS!!!
State Scholarships include: Regents Scholarship 4 credits English 4 credits progressive math Biology, Chemistry and Physics 3.5 credits social science 2 credits same foreign language (7th and 8th grades DO NOT count) Base: 3.0 GPA, ACT score, No grade lower than “C” Exemplary: 3.5 GPA, ACT: 26, no grade lower than “B” Scholarship amounts determined annually!

And, Did you know that beginning your Junior year, you can: *Earn college credit through CONCURRENT ENROLLMENT or EARLY COLLEGE? Possible to CE in 10th grade *Take classes at the Applied Technology Center *Take “Magnet” classes at other high schools?
You have even MORE options your senior year, such as: Internships and Work Based Learning
