When We Last Updated You… We had developed the basic design approach of the template which will be used for the Hire/Re-Hire functionality We had validated the approach for electronic workflow and document attachment We had developed the design approach for data conversion from FAHRIS to PAC We had announced the extension in the project timeline due to the reduction in the project budget
What’s Been Going On We have been meeting regularly with the Core Working Groups We have discussed all aspects/considerations of the technology portion of the project and completed proof-of-concepts for specific technical approaches necessary for a successful project: electronic workflow and document attachment We have been working through various design points and open issues with the Working Groups We have fleshed-out and designed all requirements for CUMC, including the data conversion necessary to bring FAHRIS data into PAC
Current Status: Design / Build / Test / Implementation – Critical Path Analysis and Design Build, Test, and Implement Build and Test Application Develop Process and System Design/Conduct Conference Room Pilot Sessions (Includes Process and Technology) Finalize Process and System Design Based on Feedback From Schools/Departments Prepare & Execute System Test/UAT Detailed Design Prog. Specs. Go-Live with FAST Automation Design Master and Key Configuration Data Design, Build, Conduct Training Design Technology Architecture Build, Test Technology Architecture Data Conversion Build, Test Data Conversion Design Data Conversion Design Production Support Infrastructure Build, Test Production Support Infrastructure Design/Implement Communications and Change Management Project Management
Current Status Designs for all functionality are complete: Hire/Re-Hire templates Document attachment Electronic Workflow Configurations required in PAC FAHRIS Data Conversion 2 CUMC Modifications Hospital Affiliation “Catch all” mod for several CUMC Data Fields All functional issues/roadblocks resolved. Working Groups have approved the final Design
Current Status (con’t) System Configuration and Development well underway. Technical team has begun to configure, build, and unit test the new functionality System Test commencing for items through Development FAHRIS Data Mapping complete Working Groups and project team identifying and discussing the business process changes that will accompany the new functionality supported in PAC

Schedule Going Forward Fall 2009 – Finalize business process design with Working Group Fall 2009 – Continue technology build-out/finalize changes in business processes Late Fall 2009 – System Testing / User Acceptance Testing / Performance Testing January 2010 – Training for Pilot Schools / Departments January 2010 – Initial Implementation for distributed electronic Hire/Re-Hire February – March 2010 – Full implementation of Hire/Re-Hire March 2010 – Conversion of FAHRIS data into PAC
Your Role Understand key elements of the new functionality: Hires/Re-Hires will be done through Manager Self-Service template-based hire process Electronic document attachment Workflow Prepare for the implementation next year: Participate in upcoming training in January – March Review current MSS Users and DAF/FFE Users for your department Stay tuned – more information will be coming later in the term!
