I will eat 9 fruits and 9 vegetables a day. In breakfast I would eat 2 fruits and at lunch eat 2 vegetables and during dinner eat a small portion of a small meal. And eating nutritious foods and having vitamins, minerals, and energy. To reduce less tension and having a good meal before doing work or exercising. So I have many ways to reduce and eat the right way and staying healthy.(pg.84) Food
I exercise everyday by doing 45mins. at least three days a week. In the mornings I go walk three blocks a day by walking or jogging. And during lunch I'm going to take 40mins. walk to my classes. And well exercise wont help you much to keep you fit, but it releases tension.To keeping a body in a heightened state of alertness when you don't need to be running or fight your heart with a lot of stress.(pg.127) Exercises - Cardio
I want and will maintain the optimal weight by eating the right food and by exercising everyday. And I can maintain by writing down my meals and the days I exercises. Like on Saturdays Mr. Neighbors makes us turn in our food&exercise journal. And thats because if you arent taking care of yourself you can overcome over weight and have a high risk of a disease.(pg.197) Optimal Weight
I will build muscle strength by going to the gym three times a week and work my Abs and on my shoulders to loss the fat we have. And by going every time its like having a regular basis of the things we do in everyday life. And can help us lose a lot of weight and having a strong body. (pg.127) Build Muscle
I will compromise to something I really love, and never give up because I have faith that I can go on with my dreams and achieve what I love the most. When you want to do something that you love so much is what you got in your heart and what you think is right for you and the people that love you. When compromising something huge is like keeping that choice you want to make.(pg.411) Compromise
I will never drink alcohol because it can cause a sickness or a disease like liver starts to fail and you can be addict to it and the alcoholism develops and increases the humans body by the way they drive and speak. And every morning I would rather drink water, eat health, and instead of drinking alcohol during my meals per day. It would be better drinking once in awhile.(pg.238) Drug- Alcohol
I will continue to be healthy by not taking tobacco because you can get cancer in your lungs and affect your life. When smoking a cigarette it can be poisonous chemicals and has a tar a sticky, black substance that contains many carcinogens. And I would rather want to live a long lasting life.(pg.238) Drug-Tobacco
I will prevent heart disease by taking care of myself and eating the healthier way and by exercising everyday. I need to avoid the heart disease because I can get a heart attack or anything that can cause my heart to have a high blood pressure. For example, smoking, being overweight, having high blood pressure can cause this cardiovascular disease. (pg.343) Heart Diseases
I will prevent Cancer by taking care of myself and have a longer life lasting. By not smoking and cause my lungs to be cancer. And by eating a healthier way , exercising and watching my optimal weight. If I don't take care of my skin I can start having skin and respiratory cancer.(pg.350) Cancer
I will prevent of having diabetes by watching what I eat and take care of myself by doing all the health ways of living a longer life and not having a problem growing up.And because you need to check your blood pressure once in awhile so your rate pulse wont affect the disease that you can get. Food that has sugar doesnt need to be avoid completely, but can be eaten once in awhile. (pg.358) Diabetes
I will keep my self-esteem in the position I have it because I try to be positive everyday and all my life. When you have a good attitude, you well never have stress. If you do ever have stress its because you don't have enough sleep for 8 to 9 hours everyday. And that causes you to have a really low self-esteem and its not a good thing.(pg.76) Self-Esteem
I get 9 hours of sleep at least five days a week. And every morning I have a schedule when to wake up and do things I need to do every mornings. Its always at my house or any where I go.If we don't get enough sleep we get exhaustion, that can cause a really bad illness. If you don't sleep enough, would be less alert on things and less capable of dealing with any stress.(pg.85) Sleep
I will try not to get stressed because it can cause me to be nervous and make me forget about things that are important in life. Some ways of preventing the stress is to plan ahead and get it off your mind. Like for a example if there's a test in two days you should study ahead and not even think to hard about it. And just by calming down well have you one step ahead of everything.(pg.81) Stress
I will continue to have great relationship with my family and friends. I will continue to choose a life with my friends that will make a positive impact on my daily life. My family can show me the good manners we can achieve on. And friends are the ones who help you when you need help. I will build positive attitude toward my family and friends because I will communicate with good manners.When I have the ability to help out others and everyday I can achieve that by continuing it everyday. (pg.55) Great relationships
I will prevent sexual activity against anyone in my house or in someone else house or it can happen anywhere. And it can happen anytime. Can cause you to take a risk of getting pregnant or getting a disease that can cause danger of death. I will do that by looking toward my future goals and being the right influence. And taking my time to have a healthy relationship. The sexual activity is a activity that includes internal sexual contact.(pg.456) Sexual Activity
I will have a healthy reproductive system during my teenager years, I can go to the doctor once in awhile and because when I grow up I want to have a better life living and a healthy family when I grow up. I want to prevent vaginal irrational and cramps because it can be less painful. It can happen in anytime of our lifes.(pg.441) Reproductive System
I would want to achieve being a singer and a professional soccer player because I love singing out my heart to the people. Meaning that I would love to sing the things that I went throughout my life and what happen throughout my childhood. And me being a professional soccer well when I'm in the field I feel like I'm in a different place. It will take pace in many places andduring my lifetime .(pg.75) Goals
I will continue to do positive decisions by going through my right path and follow my dreams and the goals I have for myself. I want to show my parents that I can make them proud and that they have a daughter with a great heart. I'm always thinking ahead of the game. Choosing a path can be hard but you just got to make it happen even though you go through hard moments.(pg.95) Positive Decisions
I will not listen to the TV, commercials and the advertisements they try to convenience us to get and buy. They just want you to spend your money on things that you will not need and that would actually work. Because they lie to you about the things it might contain and what can happen in life. It can be a waste of your time if we just spend all day watching that. (pg. 26) Media Influences
I will try prevent any of my emotions to others because i can end up hurting them and having bad problems causing my health in danger if i don't make sure to control the emotions I can end up being addict to so many problems. I actually try to control it by being positive and always eating and sleeping right so I wont be in a bad mood or depress all the time.(pg.89) Coping
The importance of Health!! The importance of this is that we got to learn the 20 components and the strategies of the body symptoms. What I learned in this class so far is that we got to do a lot of role plays, activities, and enjoy ourselves. And two new things I learned was chunking words and doing a peg list which helps me remember faster and get it memorize. What I learned was the six components and the peg list she had taught us in the beginning.So I just want to thank Mrs.Radwick that I learned a lot of new things in this class and of course many new skills I never knew about when I enter this program.
